Abstract

The gap between supply and demand of energy is continuously increasing despite huge outlay for energy sectorsince independence. All the existing energy sources have environmental, social and economic impacts. The greenhouse effect results global warming, air pollution and energy security have led to increasing interest and more development in energy conservation. Fossil fuel reserve in India is depleting in a rapid way with development of the country. In the case of the developing countries, the energy sector assumes a critical importance in view of the ever-increasing energy needs requiring huge investments to meet them. For reducing cost and increasing efficiency, then use energy conservation, management and audit. The objective of Energy Management is to achieve and maintain optimum energy procurement and utilization, throughout the organization as,To minimize energy costs / waste without
affecting production and quality. To minimize environmental effects. There is a good scope of energy conservation in various sectors, industry agriculture, transport and domestic, This paper will give overview of energy conservation techniques and management.
